---- — James Steven Orrison, 57, of Centralia, formerly of Mt. Vernon, died 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon. He was born Friday, May 27, 1955, in Mt. Vernon, the son of James F. and Dexter M. (Williams) Orrison. He married Nina Lois (Wright) on May 26, 1992, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 2012. James was a groundskeeper at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon and was an artist who had done many paintings and photographs for others. That was his greatest talent. He is survived by his mother, Dexter M. Orrison of Mt. Vernon; brother, Danny F. Orrison of Mt. Vernon; aunt, Lorene Underwood; three stepgranddaughters; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and cousins and his wife's family that he cared for very much. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife; and one stepdaughter, Patty Price. Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Opdyke Cemetery in Opdyke with the Rev. Kenneth Holland officiating. Interment will be at Opdyke Cemetery in Opdyke.In honor of his wishes, he was cremated and no visitation will be held.
