Millie Kiselewski

Mildred “Millie” Kiselewski, 90, of Waltonville, passed away 6:10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

Millie was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Scheller. a daughter of Charles and Hattie (Barnett) Laur. She married John Kiselewski on Oct. 7, 1944, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1990.

Millie owned and operated the Millie’s Cafe in Waltonville for many years. She was one of the original organizers of the Waltonville Volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of the Waltonville VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Millie was a loving mother and grandmother.

Millie is survived by her daughter, Linda Panzier of Ashley; son, John L. “Jack” Kiselewski and wife Brenda of Waltonville; grandsons, Lendell “Len” Panzier Jr. of Ashley, Lance Panzier and wife Vera of Waltonville and John Kiselewski and wife Joyce of Waltonville; one granddaughter, Ami and husband Geno Halloran of Shiloh; 10 great-grandchildren, Randa and husband Riley Trout, Josh Panzier and wife Heather, Devin Panzier, Cory Panzier, Michael Panzier, Lindsey Panzier, Kadin Kiselewski, Ryker Kiselewski, Logan Halloran and Brady Halloran; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kristofer Harlow and Kerstie Harlow; two great-great grandchildren, Kolten Trout and Haydyn Panzier; and also several nieces and nephews.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hattie (Barnett) Laur; brothers, Clarence Laur, Lester “Leck” Laur, Tom Laur, Joe “Don” Laur and Dallas Laur; two sisters, Vera Bell and Velma Kiselewski; and a son-in-law, Lendell M. Panzier.

Funeral services for Millie will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. The family will receive friend on Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time at the Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Waltonville Fire Protection District and will be accepted at the service or may be mailed to the Newell Funeral Home 505 East Main Street Waltonville, IL 62894.
