Karen Jayne Anthis Shipman died June 28, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind., at age 52.
A memorial service was held July 6, 2013, at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson.
Surviving are her husband, Jim Shipman; son, Joshua Shipman; daughter, Adria Shipman; and grandson, Avery Shipman. Her mother Dixie Woodlan Fellows survives in Robinson along with two brothers, James Fellows and Garred Fellows and wife Kelli.
Survivors in Mt. Vernon are two aunts, Wanda Miller Morton and Linda Shannon and husband Melvin, uncle Jimmie Woodland, plus several friends and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Beulah Woodland.
Karen worked at Victor Dana Corp. in Robinson until failing health. She was always cheerful, loving, and helping others in spite of her own pain. She donated her eyes and her body was cremated. Karen accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and her soul is at rest with her Creator.
