Tracy Lee Brumfield, 51, of Mt. Vernon, died 7:46 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his home in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Aug. 10, 1961, in Salem, the son of Russell Thomas Brumfield and Shirley Ann (Tracy) Brumfield. He married Pam Ackley on June 20, 1991, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in rural Mt. Vernon.
Tracy was a motel security guard. He loved playing guitar and singing, playing pool and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Brumfield of Patoka; wife, Pam Brumfield of Mt. Vernon; son, Kaleb Mayoral of Centralia; three daughters, Kacie Downes of Centralia, Sara Angus and husband Bobby of Mt. Vernon and Shonnah Timmons and husband Travis of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Tom Brumfield and wife Betty of Patoka and Curtis Brumfield of Patoka; three sisters, Vicki Stanford and husband Joe of Junction City, Cheryl Austin and husband Paul of Patoka and Nita Engler and husband Randy of Odin; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sursa Cemetery in Jefferson County with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Interment will be at Sursa Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
