Colby Tyler Grothoff, 46, of Bonnie, died 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his home in Bonnie.
He was born Nov. 22, 1966, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Charles and Wilma (Ferguson) Grothoff.
Colby worked in the produce department of Country Fair I.G.A. in Mt. Vernon and also for a grocery store in Chicago.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Wilma Grothoff of Bonnie; sister, Deborah Lammers of Mt. Vernon; niece, Melissa Knappier of Bonnie; three great-nephews, Dylan Chase Bruns, Devin Michael Bruns and Guy Garrett Dakota Twiggs; and close friends, Tony Sasse, Gilberto Rivera and Milford Twiggs.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one stepgrandmother; one brother-in-law, Williams Lammers; and one good friend, Christopher Romano.
In honor of his wishes, he will be cremated and no visitation or funeral service will be held.
