Larry Robinson

---- — Larry Gene Robinson, 73 years, 10 months and 15 days old, of Hillsboro, Ore. and formerly of Woodlawn, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at his home in Hillsboro, Ore.

He was born Jan. 7, 1940, in Jefferson County, the son of John and Ruby (Miller) Robinson. He married Mary Lou Gemein in Chicago.

Larry was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Gemein of Hillsboro, Ore.; sons, Roger Robinson of Hillsboro, Ore., Keith Fichter of Chicago, Kurt Fichter of Hillsboro, Ore and Kenny Fichter of Hillsboro, Ore.; brothers, Leroy Robinson of Hillsboro, Ore. and Jack Robinson of Florida; sisters, Mary Bunting of Renton, Wash., Sharon Overbey and husband Henry of Mt. Vernon, Carol Toland of Mt. Vernon and Betty Spell and husband Marvin of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Linda Buchanan.

Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at West Side Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Per Larry’s wishes, he was cremated and will be buried in Hillsboro, Ore., at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. Monday at West Side Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
