Eileen Dudley, 92, of Bonnie, passed away 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Orient on Jan. 10, 1921, the daughter of William and Brasher (Harper) Bean. She married Ralph Dudley on June 24, 1939, in Morganfield, Ky.; he died Dec. 25, 1965.

She and Ralph lived on a farm south of Nason, upon his death she stayed on the farm until her sons were drafted. After that, she moved to Mt. Vernon to live and take care of herself, and take care of the rest of the family until the last six months. Bingo and lottery playing were her passion. she won the big one once. Also, if anyone was taking a trip, she was in the front seat of the car.

She loved going to Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple — not sure for the sermon or just to pester Pastor Ron and Pastor Tim.

Eileen is survived by her two sons, Dale Dudley and wife Dana of Bonnie and Ralph Dudley Jr. of Alton; her grandchildren, Dale Dudley Jr. and wife Nina, Troy Dudley and wife Samantha, Kevin Dudley and wife Teri, Jerry Dudley, Lisa Dudley, Logan Dudley, Karen Dudley, Steve Dudley, Rocky Grubb and Cindy Grubb; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Dudley, Drake Dudley, Kalib Brown and Ralph "Ralphie" Dudley, who is five days old; and four sisters, Vera and Charles Galayda of Buckner, Rose and Eli Galayda of Buckner, Pearl Mitchell of Benton and JoAnn Yosanovich of Buckner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carolyn Sue Grubb; a son, Danny Dudley; a sister, Evelyn Chamness; and brothers Marcel (Pugi) Chamness, Virgil Chamness, Melvin Williams, Burl Williams, Howard Williams, Jesse Williams and Paul Chamness.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple with Pastors Ron Reynolds and Tim Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Abner Cemetery in Nason. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple Radio Fund.

The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
