Charline Adams

---- — Charline Adams, 78, of Centralia, passed away 6:56 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

She was born on June 16, 1934, in Waltontville, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Schultz) Robinson. Charline married Gene Adams on Sept. 12, 1953, in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband; sister, Estell Smith and husband Glenn of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Ronald Gene Adams; and three brothers, Richard Robinson, Voris Robinson and Jackie Robinson

Charline’s greatest joy was taking care of children in her home and accompanying her husband Gene in meetings when they held revivals and gospel music concerts. Charline was very active in their home church, New Destiny Church of God in Centralia. She was the past president of the Ladies Ministries. She was active in helping the elderly in their homes. She helped to

feed those in need and delivered clothes and coats to those in need.

Charline traveled with her husband Gene in the evangelistic ministry

conducting revivals and camp meetings. They were guest speakers in many

of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International dinner meet-

ings and Women’s Aglow dinner meetings. Their ministry was known as

G/A Evangelistic Ministries.

Charline was the owner of Charline’s Beauty Shop in Centralia for 35 years until her retirement in 1987.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Irvin Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Morse officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call on Thursday morning after 10 a.m. at the funeral home

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the New Destiny Church Of God and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
