Elizabeth M. Emrick, 88, of Mt. Vernon, died 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Saturday, Dec. 5, 1925, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Maddux) Dulgarian.
Elizabeth was a ward clerk in a Chicago hospital and was an actress in the Chicago area theater. She attended Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Tony of Chicago and Kelly and husband Chris of Chicago and 10 great-grandchildren, including Kylie (Kelly’s child).
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sons, William David Burns, Jr., Robert and Thomas Burns.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Gary Davenport officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
There will be no visitation.
