David A. Bube, 65, of Mt. Vernon, died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Crossroads Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Carl and Mildred (Crane) Bube. He married Mildred Miller in 1967 and she preceded him in death in November 1991. He married Carol Allen in Wayne City in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Bube of Mt. Vernon; five children, Donnie Bube, J.D. Bube and wife Amber, Clint and wife Stacey Winemiller, Renee Friant and husband Kenny and Tami Winemiller; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and family pet, Spencer the Boxer. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Mildred, and one brother.
David was a self-employed painter, was the treasurer of the Wayne County Coon Hunter Club. He loved hunting and showing coon hounds, was a member of United Kennel Club; he enjoyed all sports and deeply loved his friends and family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Wayne City Church of God in Wayne City with Brother Gary Cline officiating. Interment will be in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City. Visitation was held Monday night at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Memorials may be given to the Bube Family (make checks payable to Carol Bube).
