Ronnie Eugene St. Arbor, 70, of Mt. Vernon, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
He was born on April 22, 1944, in Highland Park, Mich., the son of Alvin and Anna Lois (Jones) St. Arbor.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. For many years he owned B and R Trucking in St. Louis, and then MIT Tractor Trailer Repair, also in St. Louis. Most recently, he worked as a bus driver for Durham School Bus.
He is survived by one son, Michael E. St. Arbor of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth St. Arbor and wife Jannita of Waterloo; and one sister, Glenda Hock of Highland.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per his wishes, his body has been cremated and a private burial of his remains will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Good Samaritan or to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the Osborn Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
