Hughston Frank “Bobo” Chapman, 72, of Bluford, died at 1:18 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1941, in Saltville, Va., the son of Vint Aria and Mabel (Frye) Chapman. On Oct. 29, 1971, he married Joyce Johnson Chapman, who survives in Bluford.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Chapman is survived by four sons, Scott Chapman of Rock Island, Vincent Chapman of Wayne City, Frankie Chapman of Morrison and Adlai Chapman and companion Ginger of Pinckneyville; one brother, Herman Chapman and wife Virginia of Jefferson, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Kelly Chapman, Matthew Chapman, Tyler Chapman, Morgan Chapman, Dustin Chapman, Haedyn Chapman, Joshlyn Chapman, Jessie Chapman and Jody Chapman; and one great-grandchild, Tyvic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
Mr. Chapman was a retired steel mill employee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ten Post Oak Church with the Rev. Wes Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Ten Post Oak Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Ten Post Oak Church and will be accepted at the Richardson Funeral Home.
