MT. VERNON — — Jo Ann D. Hill, 78, of Mt. Vernon, died 9:37 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Friday, Nov. 16, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Webster and Anna Marie (Wetzer) Hill. She was married to Lawrence E. "Buck" Hall.
Jo Ann owned and operated JoElla’s Clothing Store in Mt. Vernon and she also owned and operated a resale shop in Ina until retirement. She was a realtor for Century 21 Realty in Mt. Vernon and was a member of the Illinois Realtors Association and a former member of the Business & Professional Women in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by children, Steve Shields and wife Valerie of Mt. Vernon and Elizabeth "Sissy" Bradford and husband Ron of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Elizabeth Shields of Joliet and Nicholas, Christopher and Patrick Bradford of Mt. Vernon; sister, Bonnadean Reimer of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Bonnie Hall; and one nephew, Eddie Williams.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Gary Karch officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
