Candy Marie Aaronson, 44, of Mt. Vernon and formerly of Rock Island, died 4:51 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Aug. 16, 1969, in Moline, the daughter of Arthur Wallace Aaronson and Cleo Marie (Spach) Anderson.
She is survived by two sons, Sean Aaronson and fiancee Lacie Hayes of Mt. Vernon and Anthony Aaronson of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Christina Aaronson of Mt. Vernon; two grandsons, Caleb Kiselewski and Urijah Aaronson of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Billy Aaronson and Michael Benson of Rock Island; four sisters, Robin Aaronson of Rock Island, Melody Youssi of Mendota, Teresa Aaronson of Texas and Melissa Braddy of Oblong; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Melvin "Butch" Benson and Arthur L.P. Aaronson.
Candy was a certified nursing assistant at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon. She greatly enjoyed helping her patients at work, she loved her grandchildren, her pets, crafts, snowmen, Christmas and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Eric Williams officiating. In honor of her wishes, she will be cremated following the funeral service.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
