Deanna Lynn (Murray) Karcher, 52, of Waltonville, passed away at 11:19 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
She was born in Belleville on Sept. 13, 1960, the daughter of Allen Edward and Doris Dean (Waters) Murray. On Feb. 16, 1996, she married Roland Allen Karcher and he survives in Waltonville.
Mrs. Karcher was a registered nurse. She graduated from Nashville High School and Rend Lake College. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She found great joy in spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica Dodson and fiancee Jeffrey Dees of Waltonville and their children Jayla, Jaxton, and Jayton, and Lynn Hutchison and husband Laramie of Woodlawn, and their children, Landon and Levi; two sons, Kurt Karcher and wife Brandy of Dix, and Jasen Dodson of Centralia; a brother, Allen Murray of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Diana Murray and Debbie Skinner and husband Tom all of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Doris Murray; and an infant brother, Vernon Murray.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with Deacon Ron Karcher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
