Robert Lee Logue, 72, of Mt. Vernon, died 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Wednesday, March 26, 1941, in Hammond, Ind., the son of Norman and Hazel (Miller) Logue. He married Lena Williams on July 8, 2001, in Mt. Vernon, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2010.
Robert was a machinist at General Radiator in Mt. Vernon and later was a self-employed painter.
He is survived by son, Scott Logue and wife Erion of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Dawn Reneau and husband Mark of Branson, Mo.; three grandsons, Samuel Logue, Robert Tate, Jr. and Tristan Tate; two granddaughters, Sarah Epperson Logue and Destiny Tate; three sisters, Niela Baronick of Mt. Vernon, Pamela Jovan and husband George of Miami and Diane Dangler of California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother, Norman Logue.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Dan Harriman officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
