---- — Josephine K. Bell, 55, of Centralia, died 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at her home in Centralia.

She was born Thursday, July 17, 1958, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Joseph Louis and Jennell (Settles) Currie. She was married to Tracy Keeler.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Jennell Currie of Mt. Vernon; five children, Torrie Jones of Mt. Vernon, Alis Jones of Mt. Vernon, Albert Jones of Centralia, Brodrick Wooters of Centralia and Arthur “Pete” Orril of Centralia; her siblings, Francine McKinney, Mary Meyer, Dorothy Jones, James Jennings, Michael Currie, Darla Flippen, Virginia Flippen, Martin Wesley, Benjamin Currie and Joseph Currie Jr.; 18 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, two children, one sister, two brothers and her grandmother.

Josephine first worked as manager at Bonanza and later at Continental Tire the Americas in Mt. Vernon as a laborer for 30 years. She was known for being a hard worker and loved to read. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Evangelistic Outreach Center in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. James Gordon officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Evangelistic Outreach Center in Mt. Vernon.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the family of Josephine Bell (please make checks payable to Jennell Currie) and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Boxy 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
