Jonathan Allan Spencer, 39, of Salem, died Nov. 25, 2013, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born July 18, 1974, in Urbana, the son of Glenn Richard Spencer of Peoria and Donna Lucille (Maul) Spencer of Peoria. He married Delora Christine (Rollinson) Spencer on July 1, 2006, at Harvey’s Point Christian Church in Cartter; she survives in Salem.
He worked locally and in St. Louis in property managements and construction for several years. He was a member of Sigma Pi Epsilon. He loved to help others and he was an organ donor.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by daddy Jonathan’s daughter, Jaeda Nicole Rollinson of Salem; sister, Pamela Louise Conforti and husband Michael of Minnesota and their children Lillian, Leo and Glenn; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stan and Kay Rollinson of Kell; sisters-in-law, DeAnna Clark and husband Jim and their daughter Lindsey of Texico and Taunya Boxx and husband Rick and their children Bethany and Robert of Kell; grandmother, Mary Anne Maul of Jacksonville; grandmothers-in-law, Evelyn McDaneld of Kell and Ruth Rollinson of Salem; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, including special aunts, Lynn Chappell of Texas and Carilyn Spencer of Mt. Vernon and special cousin, Jeff Spencer of Missouri.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem with Mike Bookhout officiating. Interment will be at Zion Grove Cemetery in Dix.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
