---- — Dannie Wayne McKinney, 65, of New Haven and formerly of Wayne City, died 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at his home in New Haven.
He was born Jan. 21, 1948, in Wayne County, the son of Robert “Bob” and Betty Bruce McKinney. He married Pamela Mills and she survives.
He worked for the state of Illinois Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Robert “Bob” McKinney of Bluford; sons, Kelby (wife Gara) McKinney of Wayne City and Canaan McKinney of Fairfield; daughter, Tonia (husband John) White of Bluford; four stepdaughters, Kynda Pottorff of Evansville, Ind., Donna LaFramboise of Carterville, Keirah McWilliams of Fairfield and Danah Radke of Maryland; sibling, Kelly (wife Carla) McKinney of Wayne City; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Union Ridge Church near New Haven with the Rev. Ivan Kunce officiating. Interment will be at Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
