Delilah M. “Dee” Millenbine, 86, of McLeansboro and formerly of Dahlgren, died 8:11 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Care Center in McLeansboro.
She was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Osby and Odessa (Kniffen) Weatherford. She married Raymond G. Millenbine on March 15, 1947, in Peoria, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a homemaker. She was loving mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. She worked at Elders MFG CO. in McLeansboro, Florsheim Shoe Factory and Uncle Charles in Mt. Vernon, where she retired. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by sons, Darel (Donna) Millenbine of Mill Shoals, Donnie (Cheryl) Millenbine of Dahlgren, Monty Dale (Donna) Millenbine of Mill Shoals and Lonnie Gale (Peggy) Millenbine of Odin; daughters, Verla Adcock of McLeansboro, Joyce (James) Earl of Fairfield and Vickey (Paul) Wells of McLeansboro; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Aaron Weatherford and Omer Weatherford; one sister, Ida Lane; one son-in-law, Larry Adcock; and one great-grandchild, Mark Millenbine.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Robert Sefriend officiating. Interment will be at Richardson Hill Cemetery near Dahlgren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tonight at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren.
