Karl Lee Sexton, 47, of Wayne City, went home to be with the Lord at 7 a.m. April 20, 2013.
Karl was born at the Clay County Hospital in Flora on Feb. 5, 1966, the son of Kay Sexton and Gary Sexton. He was married to Carla Ann Porter on Sept. 18, 1993.
He was employed at LeMond's Chevrolet and Chrysler Dealership of Fairfield since 1990. He was also a member of the Wayne City Fire and Ambulance Department for 25 years. He was also a member of the Keenes Christian Church.
He is survived by wife, Carla; daughter, Kasey; son, Kaleb, both at home; his mother and stepfather, Kay Sexton and Mike Nash of Fairfield; stepmother, June Sexton Bashore of Xenia; two brothers, Jody (Donna) Sexton of Wayne City and T.J. Sexton of Fairfield; sister and brother-in-law, Kathi Beck and Marion Brown of Fairfield; grandfather, Rev. Leonard Donoho of Orchardville; grandmother, Bertie Sexton of Wayne City; two stepbrothers, Corey Bone of Wayne City and Kevan Barnard of St. Louis; two stepsisters, Cathy Northup of Nashville and Beth McConnell of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandmother; paternal grandmother; and a paternal grandfather.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wayne City Church of God with the Rev. Gary Cline officiating. Burial will be at Thomason Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Wayne City Church of God located at 702 W. Smith St., Wayne City.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the church for the family.
Johnson and Vaughn will handle the arrangements.
