Kevin Murray Woolever, Sr., 57, of Richview, died 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his home in Richview.
He was born Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1956, in Fairfield, the son of Howard and Cletia (Frazier) Woolever. He married Debra Patterson on June 4, 1977, in Minerva, Ohio.
Kevin worked as a laborer and driller for an oil field and later as a dry wall installer and painter. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter. He loved spending time with his dog, Odis.
He is survived by his children, Shawn Emmert of Centralia, Shannon Kay Mathers of Mentor, Ohio, Jason Van Meter of China, Brandy Pishner and husband Tony of Streetsboro, Ohio, Kevin Woolever, Jr. and wife Carrie of Nashville and Katelyn Woolever of Centralia; siblings, Von Anderson of wife Beverly of Wayne City, Vera Phelps of Richview and Brett Woolever and wife Lalah of Warfield, Ky.; and beloved dog, Odis Leroy Woolever.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Noel David Woolever; and sister, Valerie Koerner.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Richview Methodist Church in Richview with the Rev. Dennis Gambill officiating.
In honor of Kevin’s wishes, he will be cremated and no visitation will be held.
