Martha “Janeice” Armes

Martha "Janeice" Armes, 66, of Edgerton, Wis. passed away 10:23 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wis.

She was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Waltonville, the daughter of Benedict and Margaret (Stelmaszewski) Gajewski. She married Roy Howard Armes on Oct. 21, 1966, in Hoopeston, and he survives in Edgerton, Wis.

Janeice was a member of the Saint John's Lutheran Church in Janesville Wis. She graduated from the Saint Elizabeth School of Nursing in Danville in 1967. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years.

Mrs. Armes is survived by her husband, Roy Armes of Edgerton, Wis; son, Chris Armes of Edgerton Wis.; daughter, Gretta Albrecht and husband Chris Capaldo of Ames, Iowa; brother, Richard Gajewski and wife Carolyn of Richview; two sisters, Joann Berlin and husband David of Mesa Ariz., and Caroline Quinn and husband Ted of Scottsdale, Ariz; three grandchildren, Jude Albrecht, Sal Capaldo and Andrea Capaldo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Theodore "Ted" Gajewski; and nephew, Brian Gajewski.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville.
