Billy Dale “Bill” Wooden, 50, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013.
He was born Feb. 7, 1963, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Jerry Wooden and Phyllis Ann Brown.
Bill was the farm manager at Hughey Farms in Mt. Vernon. Bill loved fishing, trapping, coyote hunting and all the cows he took care of at the farm.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Ann Marshall and husband Robert “Bob” of Woodlawn; father, Jerry Wooden of Mt. Vernon; sister, Carla Stewart and husband Randy of Mt. Vernon; brother, Danny Wooden and wife Rhonda of Mt. Vernon; fiancee, Trena Youngblood and her children, Caleb Halverson and Zachary Youngblood; niece, Kendra Bailey and husband Anthony of Mt. Vernon; nephew, Ryan Stewart and wife Kesha of Waltonville; great-nieces and great-nephews, Morgan Cline, Ryley, Carter and Gracie Stewart; and his extended family of fishing buddies.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Visitation was held from 5 until the time of service at 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
