Clifford Brown, 66, of McLeansboro, died 9:02 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1946, in Harrisburg, the son of Chester and Olive (Massey) Brown. He married Martha Williams on Jan. 30, 1964, and she survives.
He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a member of the McLeansboro Eagles Lodge.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughers, Felicia Frank of McLeansboro, Marilyn (husband Jim) Prather of Raleigh and Dianna Wellen of McLeansboro’ seven grandchildren, Jocelyn Moles, Joby Clifford, Frank Austin, Teton and Colten Prather, Corey Phelps, Elisha Wellen and Courtney Wellen; two great-grandchildren, Shelby Prather and Eastyn Phelps; and siblings, Mr. Sam Brown of McLeansboro and Mary Brown of Anna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Albert Brown; one sister, Debbie Brown Neal; one half sister, Ivis Oliver; one infant stillborn son; and one infant daughter, Elizabeth Brown.
Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5 until the time of service at 8 p.m. Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Memorials may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home.
