Geraldine “Jerry” Williams, 86, of Bonnie, passed away at 11:45 p.m. , Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
She was born on Oct. 28, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (Kirk) Brumitt. She was married to Thurmand Williams for 67 years.
She was a member of the Bonnie Baptist Church. She was the song leader for many years. She was also the leader of Bible School.
Mrs. Williams is survived by one daughter, Paula Sherwood and husband Larry also of Bonnie; granddaughter, Lori Sorbello and husband Ryan of St. Louis and granddaughter Lindsay Sherwood and special friend Brice Leasure of Louisville, Ky.; great-grandson Leighton Leasure; special adopted granddaughter, Tracy Marlin also of Bonnie; brother-in-law, Bill Williams; sisters-in-law, Roxie Williams of Trenton and Freida Schmidt of Woodlawn; and special nieces and nephews Sherry Williams, Dee Ann Whitzell, Mike Williams, Brad Williams and Roger Williams.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers-in-law, Robert Williams, Marvin Williams and Fred Shurtz.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Burial will in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn. Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be from 12 until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.
