Reader: Ashley residents have a decision to make in '09

The Ashley city election will be next year, and it will certainly be welcome to the city of Ashley. The long-awaited day of electing a mayor that cares about the people that she swore to serve, will be welcomed. The problem with the present mayor stems from her lack of knowledge of managing a city where she has done absolutely nothing. If she doesn't like an ordinance or code, she changes it to suit her desire, and what she can't change she ignores. She refuses to allow council input if it is about a situation that she condones. She has so many closed sessions that area citizens complain, but the contents of the sessions can be found out about at certain business places. What she has forgotten is that the entire City Council candidates were all voted out in the last election and replaced with those who would serve the city. It could happen again, so citizens, step up to the plate, tell the Ashley mayor to shape up or ship out.
