A new class of high school graduates prepare to enter the adult world, little knowing what really lies in store for them.
Some will immediately enter the workforce. Some will work part time and pursue degrees at a local college. Some will attend an institution of higher learning full time and work toward a future career goal which may take years.
Each will face the challenges of transitioning from high school to the adult world, testing the boundaries and learning through experience who they are and what they stand for.
As they leave high school, we hope they have learned a love of their family and a love of the community in which they live. As the year has progressed, we have seen examples of a commitment to the area in the form of volunteerism, projects and spoken opinions. May they never lose their passions.
Good luck to the class of 2008.
