Our View: Thanks for holiday decorations

Overnight, it began to look a lot like Christmas in the King City. Workers from two electric companies and a communications company as well as the Mt. Vernon Parks and Recreation Department and Mt. Vernon Jaycees worked with local businesses to provide decorations to celebrate the holiday season in Mt. Vernon.

The result was those who traveled through the city home from work on Friday being greeted by a beautiful scene on their way to work on Monday morning.

A lot of work goes into placement of the holiday decorations, not to mention the money necessary for their purchase. We applaud those with community pride strong enough to care about this annual project.
