Loss of a friend, servant

Dear Editor:

This Thursday morning, March 27, word was received of the passing of a friend Duane Harre from Washington County.

We came to know Duane and Ruth from Duane’s being a Tri-County Electric board member. We spent many meetings together representing the people we served.

Duane was not only our friend but also a friend to all those he represented. In the world today few individuals are found whose word is their bond. Duane was such an individual, an individual once spoken a handshake was unnecessary his word was gold.

Duane was a true warrior for those he represented. In his decisions, his first concern was always for those he served.

We will miss him and the confidence that we had in his representation of us and all the other members. The community has lost a leader and we have all lost a friend and dedicated servant.
