Pro-gun control politicians hypocrisy

Jan. 22 was the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. It and its companion decision, Doe vs. Bolton, made abortion on demand the law of the land without one legal precedent in American courts since the founding of the American colonies. Since 1973, at least 55 million babies have had their lives terminated at the time of or before birth.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees the right for the citizenry to bear arms. The founding fathers of our nation knew the importance of this right to free citizens not only for hunting meat, but also for the protection of their possessions, for protection from physical harm by others, and for protection against tyrannical government. The present administration’s assault on the Second Amendment targets law abiding citizens rather than people who use guns for unlawful purposes. But others can write that letter.

The subject of this letter is the hypocrisy of pro-gun control politicians who display children and women who bear them as backdrops at their anti-gun media events and proclaim a desire for their safety as the reason why guns should be banned. Do they care about them, really?

The present administration of our national government is not only doing everything in its power to provide for abortion, it is also making people who oppose the policy pay for it and provide for it. It did away with the Hyde Amendment which forbade the use of our tax dollars for abortion, it provides over half-a-billion dollars yearly to Planned Parenthood alone, which does 300,000 abortions per year in our country and no telling how many in other countries, it made provision for unlimited funding for abortion in the healthcare act, it places a fee to pay for abortion on each health insurance policy when the healthcare act becomes fully implemented, and so on ad nauseam.

What constitutes war on babies, on women, and on civil rights?
