Lions Club All-Stars play tonight at RLC

INA — Several local players will take part in tonight’s Lions Club All-Star Basketball games in Rend Lake College’s Waugh Gymnasium.

The girls game is slated to start at 6 p.m., with the boys game scheduled for approximately 8 p.m.

A slam-dunk contest will be held before the start of the boys game and a 3-point shooting contest will be held at halftime.

Among the boys making the roster are Bryce Kujawa and Darrell Mitchell of Mt. Vernon; Shelby Williams and Seth Thomas of Hamilton Co.; Woodlawn’s Kyle Boldt, Bronson Verhines and Jase Green; and Devin Lamke of Waltonville.

Others playing the boys game will be Benton’s Zach LaBuwi, Trevor Myers and Tim Corn; Christopher’s Shawn Menckowski, Zeigler-Royalton’s Kyle Fitch, Sesser-Valier’s Treg Vandekerhove; Carbondale’s Charles Woodson and LaFayette McDade; Carlyle’s Tony Schaeffer; Carmi-White-County’s Travis W-lliams; Brad Drust of Carterville; Devin Wells and Keith Johnson of Centralia.

Also on the boys’ roster are Alan Sadler of Dongola; A.J. Hill and Dalton Morgan of Du Quoin; Brady Buckley of Egyptian; Aaron Wallace of Fairfield; Greg Guebert of Herrin; Dustin Knight and Brandon Wood of Marion; Byron Bailey, Zach Koester and Dustin Korte of Massac Co.; Isaiah Cunningham of Eldorado; Luke Morgan and Dallas Beeding of Carrier Mills; Roby Boatright and Sterling Price of Harrisburg; Travis Cowsert of Hardin Co.; Nick Mitchell, Levi Hart and Zach Halfacre of Norris City-Omaha-Enfield. Randle Hite of Meridian; Michael Dedecker of Murphysboro; David Conner and Zach Wreath of Nashville; Clark Weeke and Devin Clary of Okawville; Charlie McDowell of Olney; Dustin Winter of Pinckneyville; Peter Zobele of Steeleville; Milo Richardson of Trico; and Lane Murphy and Patrick O’Keefe of Frankfort.

Four area coaches will take part in the game, two on each side.

Waltonville’s Mike DeNault and NCOE’s Doug Miller will coach one team, and Trico’s Shane Hawkins and Meridian’s Jeff Mandrell are scheduled to handle the other.

The girls’ game will feature two local players: Mt. Vernon’s Mariah Fleming and Lindsey Fisher of Woodlawn.

Others who will take part in the opener are Harrisburg’s Dani Price and Victoria Beasley, along with Galatia-Thompsonville’s Misty Webster and Austyn Pulliam; Melinda Miller of Benton; Kristin Germann and Kamauria Acree of Carbondale; Ariana Lee of Carmi-White Co.; Brittany Wead of Gallatin Co.; Hilary Powles and Brittany Wood of Pope Co.. Jenna Lehr and Cassidy Grey of Cobden; Emmalee Metcalf of Sesser; Lauren Mitchell of Zeigler-Royalton-Christopher; Tiffany Pinnick of Fairfield.

Rounding out the girls selections are Brittany Hood of Goreville; Diamond Timmons and Kasdaizha Benjamin of Herrin; Emily Mouyard of Johnston City; Jasmine Davis and Kelsey Bradford of Massac Co.;Jennifer Manis and Monique House of Murphysboro; Tuerney McKay and Haley Fork of Nashville; Mandy Kellerman of Pinckneyville; Daniell Stevenson and Brittany Grace of Trico; Reqagan Summers of Vienna; and Erika Price, Alicia Hartleym Alexis McPhail and Shayley Wilce of Frankfort.

Girls coaches are Benton’s Seth Tate and Sesser’s Brian Gibson, along with Cobden’s Brian Clark and Goreville’s Mike Helton.
