Bergbower wins at Marion

— MARION — Webber Township’s Breanna Bergbower won the Marion Invitational on Saturday, completing the Crisp Sports Complex course in 20 minutes, 55 seconds.
Lady Trojans teammate Danielle Snow finished seventh in 22:29, while Shanna Lumpkins was 17th at 25:28.
In the boys race, Joshua Bergbower (18:32) finished sixth.
Meanwhile, at Robinson, Wayne City’s Jayce Smith placed 16th to help the Indians to a sixth-place team finish at the Robinson Invitational.
Smith ran the course in 16:52, while Gage Crabtree was 26th with a time of 17:39 and Joe Evans was a spot behind at 17:41. Haden Smith ran with Crabtree and Evans, finishing two spots and two seconds behind Evans.
In the girls race, Torri Withrow ran 35th at 21:45, while Emily Hatfield was 69th in 23:52.
