Lady Cardinals move to 4-1

ALBION — Lindsey Fisher tallied 16 points and hauled in seven rebounds to lead Woodlawn to a 53-25 win Tuesday against Edwards County in prep girls basketball action.

Mallory Hapeman added 10 points for the Lady Cardinals (4-1).

Woodlawn led 20-12 at halftime but pulled away in the second half in part due to 30 Edwards County turnovers.

“We started out pretty sluggish and Edwards County did a good job of taking some things away from us in the first half,” said Lady Cardinals coach Eric Helbig. “Fortunately, we were able to use our defense to get into a little bit of a flow in the second half .”
