Webber routs Grayville

Webber’s baseball team traveled to Grayville and won 15-2 Tuesday.

Koaltin Dye was the winning pitcher. He threw all five innings and allowed one earned run. He finished with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Jordan Wheeler led the Webber offense with three hits, including a triple and home run. He finished with four RBI. Levi Aydt added three hits and two RBI. Ty Henderson had two hits and three RBI.

Michael Gartin, Dye and Alex Lynn all had two hits each.

Webber is 17-4 overall this season and travels to Woodlawn on Friday.

Mt. Vernon rocks Fairfield tennis

Mt. Vernon’s boys tennis team swept past Fairfield 9-0 on Tuesday.

Aaron Neibert, Nathan Arnold, Aaron Burge, Jared Hatton, Brandon Nabors and Cody Wilson were all winners in singles action.

Wilson and Hatton teamed together for a victory in doubles. Burge and Nabors were also winners along with Aiden Ezell and Maddy Wellmaker.

Mt. Vernon’s junior varsity team won 4-3

Mt. Vernon is 3-1 this season and travels to Herrin today.
