Blagojevich looking forward to comedy spoof

CHICAGO (AP) — Ousted former Gov. Rod Blagojevich is looking forward to being part of the political satire that spoofs him.

Blagojevich is participating in a Saturday night performance of "Rod Blagojevich Superstar" put on by The Second City.

On WLS Radio's "Don Wade and Roma Morning Show" on Wednesday, Blagojevich said his two young daughters won't be in the audience for the show that mocks him. He says he's lining up a baby sitter to watch his girls because he wants them to think "the best of their daddy."

The show at a theater on Chicago's Navy Pier is a takeoff on the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar."

It pokes fun at Blagojevich who was arrested on federal corruption charges and thrown out of office. He's pleaded not guilty.

The comedy show was supposed to end June 14 but has been extended until Aug. 9.
