Roodhouse couple win $6.2 million in Illinois Lotto

ROODHOUSE — — An eastern Illinois couple says they might buy a new vehicle and fix up their house now that they've won $6.2 million in the Illinois Lottery.

The (Alton) Telegraph (http://bit.ly/13DXbHY ) reports that Terry and Ramona Barnett of rural Roodhouse in Greene County were introduced Tuesday as the holders of the winning ticket bought last month at a convenience store.

The pair opted to take the lump-sum payment, which amounts to slightly less than $4 million after taxes.

The couple says getting a new vehicle is a possibility, given that the one they have now has logged more than 200,000 miles.
