CHICAGO (AP) — The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation has decided to maintain the medical license suspension of a suburban Chicago pediatrician facing criminal sex charges.
Kishor N. Jain on Tuesday refused to testify in a hearing about the suspension. Jain of Frankfort faces Will County charges of sex abuse and battery. Two women have sued Jain, claiming he fondled them during visits to a Frankfort clinic in 2011.
Professional Regulation spokeswoman Sue Hofer told the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/12sq374 ) that Jain's license will remain suspended pending the outcome of his criminal case. If found guilty of the sex crimes, Jain's license will be automatically revoked.
Jain was acquitted more than 10 years ago of charges he fondled a woman.
Jain hasn't commented about the current charges against him.
