CHICAGO (AP) — Three men are being celebrated for coming to the aid of a Chicago woman who was being attacked on a running path along Lake Michigan.

Brandon Williams of suburban Calumet Park has been charged with criminal sexual abuse in connection with the Wednesday attack.

According to police, the 36-year-old victim was running along the path in Jackson Park when she was allegedly attacked by the 24-year-old Williams. She ran onto Lake Shore Drive as she called for help. Two nearby men came to her aid and her attacker fled. A third man, 38-year-old Donny Jones of Markham, stopped his car and allowed the woman in.

She pointed the alleged attacker to Jones, who chased and caught the man. He and the other men held Williams until police arrested the man.
