Sidewalks being installed


Scott McCoy smooths out a section of sidewalk on South 12th Street while colleagues Luke Rollie and Tanner Novak work on another section and Quaid Novak (green shirt) does some touch up work. Rollie Cement Finish, based in Woodlawn, is doing the work for the city of Mt. Vernon as part of its Comprehensive Plan. Sidewalks are being installed on 12th from Perkins Avenue to Newby Avenue. Rollie said about 80 percent of the work has been completed.
