Marlow's Pumpkin Patch open

(Continued)

OPDYKE — —

The Marlows have expanded their operation to include additional parking on the east side of the roadway, equipment has been added to the playground, and decorations have been added on the $2 per person hayride. Marlow wanted to have an additional "monster" corn maze on the east side of the road, but a wet spring prevented crops from being planted in time.

Marlow said there is no need to travel long distances to visit a pumpkin patch this fall.

"We are family-friendly and close to Mt. Vernon. I think we've got some of the best attractions anywhere in Southern Illinois," he said. "We give everybody fun and a good value."

Marlow's Pumpkin Patch will be open through Oct. 30.
