Day in the Life of a Prairie Child program held

MT. VERNON — —

The last Day in the Life of a Prairie Child program for the summer was held Wednesday at the Jefferson County Historical Village. As part of the event, children experienced 19th Century living first-hand through a variety of games and activities, including a spelling bee, math contests, penmanship practice, dulcimer lessons, chores, and more. There will likely be another session in September or October for a school class.
