Buddy Poppy Day proclaimed

MT. VERNON —

Mayor Mary Jane Chesley signed a proclamation naming Nov. 9 as Buddy Poppy Day and announcing the Nov. 11 VFW Post 9233 Buddy Poppy Salute to all American veterans.

 

VFW Post 9233 will be presenting its 22nd Annual Veterans Day program at Times Square Mall on Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. On Nov. 9, the post will be offering Buddy Poppies for sale at various locationsin Mt. Vernon.
