The plate glass front window of a vacant business at the corner of Ninth and Jordan Streets surprised passers-by on Tuesday afternoon when it fell and busted on the sidewalk. Police, building inspectors and crews to block of the sidewalk and clean glass responded to the scene, which also showed broken windows on the south side of the building and for second story windows. Air pressure created from a different broken window is suspected as causing the break. The window will be boarded up as a temporary measure, according to city officials.
