Cash Store robbed

MT. VERNON — —

MT. VERNON – Mt. Vernon police Saturday responded to an armed robbery at the Cash Store, 3300 Broadway.

The incident took place at around 12:23 p.m. and the female suspect was still at large as of Saturday afternoon.

According to the Mt. Vernon Police Department's Facebook page, the suspect “inferred” a weapon, but did not display one, during the robbery. She fled the scene on foot toward Little Caesars with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white female, possibly in her late 40s, wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and a yellow surgical mask.
